Could not find stored procedure ''?
Hi
I recently recovered my SQL2000 Sp3 Merge Replication structure from a
failure after adding a few new articles to my publication. Everything was
going fine (getting everyone up again), until I noticed 5 out of the 100
sites with the following problem:
The merge process could not retrieve column information for table
'dbo.C_ClaimStatus'.
(Source: Merge Replication Provider (Agent); Error number: -2147201016)
Could not find stored procedure ''.
(Source: DAYMED\CC (Data source); Error number: 2812)
I tried re-initialising these subcriptions again, but the problem stayed.
What bugs me is that all my sites were restarted in exactly the same way
(re-initialise site with a pre and post snapshot script to run) and these
are the only 5 sites with this problem.
(All sites are running MSDE sp3 or SQL2000 sp3 and are pull subscriptions)
Has anybody had this before, and if so, how do I fix this?
Regards
Paul Kleynhans
Paul,
This may be due to a failed sp installation. Reapplying sp3a may fix it and
to get a bit more info, have a look at sqlsp.log file from the c:\windows
directory - this might shed some light on any failed actions during the sp
installation.

Could not Create Publication
Hi,
I created 2 windows user named PublishUser and ReplSnapAgent with less
previllege. Ran SSMS using PublishUser and created snapshot publication.
Used RepSnapAgent user as Snapshot Agent. I got an error saying
SQL Server could not create publication 'Product'. (New Publication Wizard)
An exception occurred while executing a Transact-SQL statement or batch.
(Microsoft.SqlServer.ConnectionInfo)
Proxy "Computer-Name\ReplSnapAgent" is not a valid Windows user.
Changed database context to 'ReplTesting'. (.Net SqlClient Data Provider)
Is anybody else help me out in solving this issue?
Is ReplSnapAgent a local user account on the computer Computer-Name? Is it
in the dbo_role on the distribution database and the publication?

|||Oscar,
unfortunately we don't know which table is causing the
problem, but possibly it is all of the tables with text
data if they have inherited the default database
collation. Anyway, right-click on a table in Enterprise
Manager and select to generate the script. Have a look
for the COLLATE part eg COLLATE COLLATE
SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS and see if this is the
database collation on the subscriber. If not, then change
the database collation at the subscriber is the easiest
option, or alternatively on the article properties select
to take the article's collation.

|||hi Paul,
Well, i think that this property is not defined in this table.
please have a look at the following script:
if exists (select * from dbo.sysobjects where id = object_id(N'[dbo].
[FK_CLIENTE_CONTRAT]') and OBJECTPROPERTY(id, N'IsForeignKey') = 1)
ALTER TABLE [dbo].[CONTRAT_GENRAL] DROP CONSTRAINT FK_CLIENTE_CONTRAT
GO
if exists (select * from dbo.sysobjects where id = object_id(N'[dbo].
[FK_CLIENTE_CONTRAT_SEDE]') and OBJECTPROPERTY(id, N'IsForeignKey') = 1)
ALTER TABLE [dbo].[CONTRAT_SEDE] DROP CONSTRAINT FK_CLIENTE_CONTRAT_SEDE
GO
if exists (select * from dbo.sysobjects where id = object_id(N'[dbo].
[CLIENTES_COD]') and OBJECTPROPERTY(id, N'IsUserTable') = 1)
drop table [dbo].[CLIENTES_COD]
GO
CREATE TABLE [dbo].[CLIENTES_COD] (
[Codigo] [numeric](7, 0) NOT NULL ,
[CIF] [nvarchar] (16) COLLATE SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AI NULL ,
[Nombre] [nvarchar] (50) COLLATE SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AI NOT NULL ,
[rowguid] uniqueidentifier ROWGUIDCOL NOT NULL
) ON [PRIMARY]
GO
This is the script in Publisher Database.

|||Ocano,
you have the setting here:
[CIF] [nvarchar] (16) COLLATE
SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AI NULL ,
[Nombre] [nvarchar] (50) COLLATE
SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AI NOT NULL ,
Please check the subscriber to see if the database
setting is the same or different. If it says server
default, please check the server setting.

|||hi Paul,
In the subscribe, I have dropped this table and then I have to execute the
same creation table script than publisher server.
Then I have tried to execute the Push subscription and it is failed in the
same table clientes_cod.
Thanks

Oscar

|||No this won't work as the initial script on
initialization will drop the table you have created.
Please check my previous post.
